Saudi Arabia, a favorite travel spot for many Pakistanis, has made it easier for them to get tourist visas. Now, Pakistani travelers just need to show a bank statement proving they have at least USD 750 (or its equivalent) available each month. This change takes effect immediately.
Jump in Pakistani Tourists Visiting Saudi Arabia
The number of Pakistani tourists visiting Saudi Arabia went up by 43% in 2023 compared to the previous year. Saudi Arabia hopes to welcome 2.7 million Pakistani visitors in 2024. To handle this increase, Saudi Arabia is making the visa process smoother through six Tasheer offices located in Peshawar, Quetta, Lahore, Karachi, Islamabad, and Multan.
Easy Visa Process with Tasheer Offices
The Tasheer offices offer an easy and convenient experience for travelers. They provide help with visa applications, biometric enrollment, status tracking, and passport delivery. Travelers can book an appointment on the Tasheer website before they visit the office.
New Transit Visa Introduced
Saudi Arabia has also introduced a transit visa. Travelers arriving in Saudi Arabia via Saudia and Flynas can stay and explore the country for up to 96 hours. Additionally, travelers with a valid and used UK, US, or Schengen visa can get a visa on arrival.
One-Year Multiple Entry Visa
Last year, Saudi Arabia introduced a one-year multiple entry visa for Pakistani travelers. This special visa is for those visiting for personal reasons like attending weddings, functions, or visiting friends and family. With this visa, holders can visit Saudi Arabia multiple times within a year and enjoy its vibrant cities, cultural richness, and natural wonders.
Performing Umrah Made Easier
Pakistani travelers with the one-year multiple entry visa can also perform Umrah. This shows Saudi Arabia’s commitment to supporting spiritual journeys and cultural exchanges. Making the visa process easier will encourage more Pakistani travelers to visit their friends and family, perform Umrah, and explore Saudi Arabia.

Saudi Arabia has many exciting places to visit. From the lively cityscape of Riyadh, the cultural richness of Jeddah, the hidden treasures of the Red Sea, to the ancient marvels of AlUla, there is something for everyone. Saudi Arabia is a year-round destination. Some regions offer a cooler escape in the summer, while the busy calendar of events during winter attracts more and more tourists each year.
