Chrome Extension Privacy Policy

This privacy policy explains how the Ninja Teleprompter (MultiLingual) Chrome extension (“the extension”), published by VOZAX, handles your information.

Summary

Ninja Teleprompter does not collect, store, sell or share any personal data. Everything you type into the extension stays in your browser.

Information stored on your device

  • Your script and settings (language, font size, line height, scroll position, match sensitivity and mirror mode) are saved in Chrome’s local extension storage so they are still there the next time you open the extension.
  • This data never leaves your device, and it is deleted when you remove the extension.

Microphone and speech recognition

When you press Start, Chrome asks for permission to use your microphone, and the extension uses Chrome’s built-in speech recognition (the Web Speech API) to follow your voice. Google Chrome may send the audio to Google’s servers to convert it to text; that processing is done by Google under the Google Privacy Policy. The extension only uses the resulting text in real time to scroll your script. It does not record, store or transmit your audio or transcripts.

The microphone is used only while listening is switched on. You can stop at any time with the Stop button or the Esc key, and you can revoke microphone access in Chrome’s settings.

Language detection

Automatic language detection runs locally inside Chrome. Your script is not sent anywhere to detect its language.

Permissions

  • storage: saves your script and settings locally on your device.
  • Microphone: requested by Chrome only when you start listening, and used only for speech recognition.

What we don’t do

  • No analytics, tracking, cookies or advertising.
  • No accounts or sign-in.
  • No user data is sold or transferred to third parties.
  • No user data is used for purposes unrelated to the extension’s teleprompter function, or to determine creditworthiness or for lending.
